“Te Quiero”
This collaboration is very dear to my heart as it involves my beloved, Frederic Daty and his super talented son Akio. We fell in love with a song that was produced by an Italian producer, Kid Francescoli and decided to do our interpretation. There is a special kind of sensuality that and vulnerability that this song exudes and we wanted to showcase that in the video itself. We wanted a raw setting for the video and found ourselves on the ferry from Ibiza to Valencia and without hesitation created our video, oh and learning to keep my eyes open with water running down my face, was also epic.
“CHIA”
This song has evolved and evolved again and through it so have I. This song was conceived in songwriting class led by the brilliant Dr. Kelly in Los Angeles and cocooned itself and had a metamorphosis in France, where I now live. This Afro-Colombian song with lyrics in both english and french is a homage to the Chibcha's moon goddess, Chía, whose temple in Cundinamarca, Colombia was an important religious center. I personally feel a strong connection to the moon and in my many wonderings it is the very moon that has directed me so divinely. Through this song I hope to transmit her energy, vigour and beauty that she embodied to you all.
“Angel voice mantras vol 1”
This live acoustic album of powerful mantras was recorded in the celestial Abbaye Baume-les-messieurs in Eastern France (Le Jura) that was founded in the year 890! The voice, the shruti box, the fujara, the tanpura the tingsha bells, and the tublaphone floating graciously through space free of electronics, recorded in the still of the winter. The divine acoustics and perfect stillness creates a powerful vortex to ease you into the ethers! I send you all the love in my heart!
"La divina libertad"
“YA”
We will rise in the power of unity!
Para verlo
Hay que hacerlo, entenderlo
YA
Quiero el renacer. Hay que resurgir.
Ode to differences! Ode to joining forces! Ode to unity!
This is a project that is near and dear to my heart. It was conceived in Los Angeles and continued to blossom in the Caribbean coast of Colombia and the post-production caressing took place in Paris, France.
This is part of a bigger project soI will be releasing it in segments. This segment is finalized and ready to to be born! I hope you will join the journey with me! I have felt incredibly inspired to search deep within me, expand my musical horizons and explore my homeland, Colombia, which I left at a young age and for 10 years couldn’t visit. “YA” has dance hall, cumbia rhythms and it is layered with authentic tropical indigenous instruments such as la gaita, guacharca and just recently la flauta de millo. I am also feeling a powerful sense of responsibility as a a multilingual citizen of the world to infuse my art and music with messages of unity, strength and the life changing power of love. YA has evolved into a protest song that has a tropical danceable flavor, but the underlying message is for all of us as a people to rise up powerfully, to stay united and to love more ferociously.
“dolce Ardor”
Andrea Sáenz began studying classical music at the tender age of 16 and as she furthered her studies and continued exploring colorful genres, her quest to manifest a melange of classic opera with a dichotomous musical counterpart manifested. She approached composer DTO to create an exotic fusion of an aria from an opera dating back to 1770 intertwined with trip-hop and electronic beats. This specific aria was composed by Alexander Gluck a contemporary of Mozart, which tells a story of passion, pain and ultimate transformation.
The idea is to bring this aria to life with elements of the 1700's when it was presented for the first time in Vienna. We will take you on a journey back in time creating an inter-blend of 18th-century elegance with an ultraviolet experience. The story follows the quest in search of true love by the central character played by Andrea Sáenz. The fire that fuels her throughout the quest is represented by the rich piano melodies played by DTO. She appears adorned in full 18th-century attire, but as her quest becomes increasingly urgent and the dichotomy of passion and pain escalate and collide, she then begins to literally dismantle before the viewers’ eyes. She is left with no choice, but to seek within and bathe in the fountain of her origins. The story culminates as the central character emerges anew in new-found divinity and freedom.
